President of SACH Institute, Peer Syed Mudassir Shah, was honoured to participate as a faith leader in the international conference, “First Regional Forum of the Faith-Based Leaders Regional Dialogue Process on Preventing Violent Extremism in the Digital Space,” convened by the United Nations Development Programme -UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub in Bangkok from 12–14 May 2026.
The forum brought together distinguished academics, intellectuals, faith-based leaders, and policymakers to strengthen collective efforts against online violent extremism, enhance the role of religious leaders in countering digital radicalization, and promote sustainable peacebuilding through collaboration with the UNDP Pakistan.
Peer Syed Mudassir Shah shared valuable insights on the growing challenges of violent extremism in digital spaces. He emphasized that preventing violent extremism is essential not only for online safety, but also for building a healthy, peaceful, and progressive society. He further highlighted the importance of protecting younger generations from radicalization, terrorism, and hate narratives, ensuring they inherit a brighter and conflict-free future.
Faith leaders reaffirmed their commitment to interfaith dialogue, research on religious affairs, social cohesion, and initiatives that prevent radicalization while promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding.
Peer Syed Mudassir Shah expressed pride in representing Pakistan on global platforms dedicated to peacebuilding and constructive international engagement.
